About

Hello, my name is Nathan Patti.  I guess this is where I am supposed to write a bunch of  interesting things about myself that are totally irrelevant to your life but makes it seem as though I know what I am talking about. Things like my schooling (which is never ending), my best selling book (which is a nonexistent work in progress), my influence span (which isn’t very far), and how I like long walks on the beach (which I do). I don’t care very much about qualifying my ideas because my purpose here isn’t so much to  peddle my philosophy, as it is to articulate my musings in a way that crafts conversations around theology, religion, and life in the 21st century. To be upfront, my goal is to introduce interesting and novel religious perspectives that challenge our preconceived notions about Christianity in such a way that we are forced to revisit the most basic  tenets of the faith itself. I honestly believe that as we struggle through ideas we can come to more comprehensive understanding of not only our faith but also the world we live in.   If you are still interested in my credential you can find them on my ministry experience page, and if you honestly care about my interests here are a few: I am obsessed with coffee (“pour over, please”), music (folk), theology (Radical, Relational, and Patristic theologies), and I try to follow the life of Jesus as closely as I can (which isn’t so close). Now that the pleasantries are out of the way onto the conversation at hand…
